In August my Wednesday contract finished after 3 years. It had never fit me properly but it was an easy set up and the people were nice. This ending sent me into something of an anxiety spin, which prompted me to look at all areas of my life and rectify a few things which needed attention...
Q1 round up
One a quarter is better than none at all right? Don’t mention that this is 3 weeks after the end of Q1.
november round up
Luna turned 10 and a few days later my Grandmother turned 100. November is birthday season. I have had two branding projects on that I have truly loved and a contract for a menstrual health supplement brand. A busy month with lots of family visits and a whole lot of cake.
october round up
I feel FINE that this is a week late because other than the fact that no one really reads it I did manage to hit all my other deadlines this week, of which there were many.
september round up
I took August off this year as I was travelling with the kids in Canada and managing work around school holidays. I say it every year but welcome to the season of books and reading 🎉🪵☔️🕯️
july round up
Hello and welcome to The Enthusiast. I glossed over the name change last time - have you done your Enneagram test? I’m number 7 - The Enthusiast.
june round up
WELL I completely missed May this year. I was actually in, of all places: Disneyland. With my small humans and my mama.
april round up
April was Cornwall and family, ceramics and dog walks. Very confusing weather and lots of reading and weights/tennis.
march round up
March, what to say about March? Chickenpox and operations? Er rain and some great work projects? None of this sounds interesting… Books? Oh yes, some great books!
february round up
I know very well this year why February was made the shortest month. We were the lucky recipients of three viruses and a lot of interrupted sleep. February has provided some challenges but it’s done! Phewww, here is to Spring flowers and longer days.
january round up
January, oh what a month to be alive. I have to say I have loved this January.
november round up
I just got back from Madrid last night. I was there to celebrate my Mama’s 75th birthday.
october round up
Well, Happy Halloween/Samhain/The Blots depending on what you celebrate. Being a child of rural beginnings I like that this day signals the beginning of Winter and the end of harvest. My kids like the sweets.
september round up
I think all I have to say about the last month is my birthday was lovely and we got a PUPPY.
august round up
August is done and I am in search of a reset button. It has been epic; 8000 miles from Dominical, CR to Brighton, UK. 624 miles from Brighton to Battle, to Penzance and back via Bude.
july round up
Glorious July, spent by (large) bodies of water. From a heatwave in England to surfing in the warm water of Costa Rica.
june round up
The end of June has come around really fast. A month packed full of tennis and sea swims and Glastonbury (on the telly) and Wimbledon (on the telly)…
may round up
May might be my favourite month. Nature showed it’s best, most lush and green and colourful self these past few weeks.
april round up
It was all about Easter in Cornwall. It was a great week full of family, walking those North Cornish cliffs, Spring bringing everything back to life and swimming in the mornings.
march round up
March has been: recovering from covid, finishing our loft, moving the kids into their new room, painting all the spots which we hadn’t got to, quoting for new projects and finishing outstanding ones, doing weights, navigating summer sunshine and freezing snow storms, sometimes both at the same time.
